when i graduated last spring, i had to say goodbye to my friends as we spread out over the country, attempting to live the "grown up" life. i guess i didn't really "spread" much, coming back to sioux center for another year. it was a hard adjustment at first, the dordt i came back to wasn't the dordt i left. but living here definitely had it's blessings - a great job, another year to build old and form new friendships, and being close to the man i love :).
now i feel like i'm leaving sioux center and dordt for a second time, only this time it feels more permanent. it's like i have taken what most seniors do right after graduation and have spread it out over two years. but that's probably ok. i'm not a big fan of goodbyes.
tonight is packing night. tomorrow is the last day of work, which is really an exit interview, farewell coffee, cleaning out the office, and one last pizza ranch lunch with the admissions office. and after that...goodbye sioux center. it's been a great 5 years. :)

It's sad to pack up...but the unknown can be very exciting! Overall, you liked the admissions job? what was your area? Do you know have another job lined up??
